In response to requests from many parents for a place where their children can learn Japanese while attending local English-speaking daycare, we started our program.

Mebae class is our Saturday program at Starchild for the youngest children.

Here, kids have a lot of fun while learning Japanese, with a focus on conversational skills through group activities and collaboration.

①Saturday Playgroup "Mebae"
For children aged 2 to pre-school age
The "Mebae" class is the first level of the Starchild Saturday program, offering a fun introduction to Japanese through our daycare education program.
☆ In a group setting, we focus on conversation-based learning.

②Saturday Playgroup "Mebae Plus"
For parents who want their children to learn how to read and write hiragana or increase their Japanese vocabulary:
After completing the "Mebae" class, we offer small group lessons that cater to each child's level.
☆ In addition to conversation practice, children will deepen their Japanese learning with activities like handwriting practice, reading books, and writing hiragana.

*Mebae Plus class is limited to those participating in the Mebae class.

Application procedure

  • Fill out and email the application form
  • After we send a bill, please pay online
  • When you enroll more than one child, you get 10% discount for the tuition after the first child.
  • We cannot accept credit cards. We cannot process refunds once payment is made.
  • The application period closes when we reach the maximum number of students.
