Descriptions of our afterschool program
Music education
We nurture children's responsiveness through listening to songs. Children acquire audial sensitivities, a sense of rhythm, and concentration. And children are also encouraged to dance impromptu according to different songs, which is meant to develop their imagination, inventiveness, and abilities to express themselves. We try to introduce a variety of musical instruments to children not only by playing them but also by showing them. The latter helps children gain a visual sense of sound and rhythm.
Hiragana education
This session is specifically tailored to help children listen to, see, and speak Japanese. We help them speak Japanese well, which should help them gain an interest in things Japanese and improve their communication skills. Our program is recommended not only for the children who go to local school and/or speak English at home, but also for the children who wish to perfect their Japanese language skills. We teach all the 50 syllables, key Japanese words, and how to count numbers in Japanese. Our goal is help children feel comfortable in expressing themselves in Japanese.
